Difference between Progressive Glasses and Transitional Glasses
Progressive Glasses
Progressive Lenses are a type of multi-focal lens specifically for people who need corrective lenses to see distant and close-up objects. To put it plainly, these lenses allow you to see clearly at multiple distances without a bifocal line.

Transitional Glasses
Transition lenses, or photochromic lenses, are the lenses that darken in the sunlight and lighten in softer light or the dark. These lenses have been around for a decade or more, and they offer the convenience of sunglasses without having to wear them over your prescription glasses or having to constantly switch between the two.
What is the difference between the two glasses?
Progressive lenses are for correction, while transitional lenses can protect your eyes from UV rays without buying a second pair. They are different types of lenses.
